That's because the detractors from the standards use the same pictures over and over again to try to imply that every other standard car looks the same.
I've never seen the detractors posting images of the Furai, R8 LMS car, Veyron, Polyphony Formula GT, and many other pretty good looking standard cars.
Here's a pic of my Polyphony Formula GT, it's my current wallpaper and many friends of mine have mistaken the car for a premium:
