For SSX fans waiting years to get this, the name is very important.

Huh. I thought i was the only one thinking that. "What is this climbing/survival game that's calling itself SSX?"

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Well I'm a SSX fan too but I welcome change. As long as it's good. But I can't judge that from a trailer.

I agree that we can't judge the game simply based on a trailer, but the trailer does worry me that SSX is going in a direction I don't agree with.
We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully I'm wrong.

You can say that all you want, but what if Uncharted 3 were a puzzle game?
What if Gran Turismo 6 was something more like Farmville?
What if Tekken 6 was a platformer?
When they say "there's a new SSX game!" there's a certain expectation. That expectation is not a gritty realistic xtreme sports game. SSX games aren't about that crap. They're trying to turn SSX into a sim when it is absolutely not a sim. Not at all.
The moment you try to make SSX realistic, it fails. I'm expecting nothing more than a working, bare minimum effort, bland snow boarding game.
I'll be shocked if this game has any personality what-so-ever.
I read an article about this somewhere, but I can't remember where it was...
I do agree, I'm just happy enough that we are getting another snowboarding game
worry not, for it will decent deadly on the bottom of the sales chart! ok maybe you should be worried.....
