I'm going to go ahead and break it to you that it's not going to get anywhere near that imo.

I'm going with 1.33m LTD expectations for PS3. Oblivion seems like it was in the exact same situation with a year old port and the PS3 was able to sell .58 of what the 360 did which would put ME2 at 1.33m if it sold similarly.

Dragon Age has barely made it over a million, and you expect a port of a year old game to beat it? Not really sure why.
It's nowhere on the preorder charts at all. I think it'll perform quite similarly to BioShock. Maybe not that bad, but I'll be shocked if it breaks a million.

I don't see how Dragon Age really makes sense as a comparison, just because one game in the same genre can only sell so much doesn't doom all other games to similar or below. It only sold 1.6m on 360 so does that mean all WRPGs are doomed to only do that much on 360? obviously not.
I think there are more similarities between this situation and that of Oblivion then there are of this and Bioshock.
Bioshock came with very little new, while Oblivion came with some DLC for free similar to ME2 and the obvious one that Oblivion and ME2 are in the same genre.
On the Preorders thing, that only shows that it has less than 25,000 preorders a month from release and Oblivion only sold 57,000 it's first week in NA and went on to sell 2m so I don't think it's difinitive that it'll sell less than a million because it isn't showing up on the preorder charts.

Mass Effect 3 could always boast sales.
I'm all for consoles having exclusives but Mass Effect is so dang good that everyone should get a chance to play it.
Makes sense if they're bringing ME2 to all platforms anyway. Good news for any fan of the series, I guess.
I'm not expecting stellar sales, either.
Ports are always doing worse than the original, the only exception to this are ported JRPGs. Even with all the added extras most seem just sink away and be forgotten. Without these extras most would do even worse. That's why I hoped for some cool addon for the PS3 version of ME2. Not something killer, because that would be unfair for X360 and PC owners, but something that gives your PS3 ME2 more worth. A figurine of a Reaper would have been pretty cool. Ahh, one can dream. :D
Anyway, I expect sales of maybe 70k first week, and lifetime around 0.8 million.
To comparison: Bioshock did 65k first week and is at 0.74 million at the moment.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles
Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped: the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA
bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.
semi feel sorry for square enix here mass effect gets announced for multi plat everyones over the moon ff 13 gets announced multi plat the internet falls over versus get a couple of hints of multi plat people start boycotting the game there pressured way more than any other 3rd party comapany for exclusivity
I'll be getting for PC :D... hopefully they add the hammerhead because those scenes in overlord were fantastic... I'll be dissapointed if they dont add something similar. Makes the scope feel much bigger and epic. imo
