Forums - Gaming - Mass Effect 3: Simultaneous release across ps3/360/pc

Did people doubt it wouldn't be a simultaneous release?

So I have 2 Mass Effects to play next year.

AMAZING!!!

i actually may get Mass Effect 2 on PS3, since i didn't get any of the Add ons, and now it kinda funny how the first game i got for PC and Xbox and the second i got for Xbox and (maybe) PS3 and the third one is going to be... ???

Seriously, if PS3 owners don't buy ME2, they don't even deserve ME3 simultaneous or at all.  That's not a fanboy thing, its a "THIS SHOULD BE A TOP 5 ALL TIME SALES PS3 GAME" thing.

Oh, if you couldn't tell, I'm a fan of the series ...

How can you not keep playing with your same Mass Effect Shep?  To me that's one of the coolest and most unique features of the series.

Good as it should be

Although this is good news for PS3 owners, I have to question the timeframe between the development of the games...

Mass Effect: 2007

Mass Effect 2: 2010/11

Mass Effect 3: 2011

They didn't waste time on this did they, I'm guessing they'll have recycled things, or have a MUCH bigger dev team since making the second game o.O

Bioware have said that ME3 should take a shorter time to develop than ME2 because with ME2 they had to make the story for it and ME3 so they knew how the trilogy was going to end.

At least that's one of the factors.

I'm sure they worked on ME3 besides ME2 already. After Mass Effect 1 they knew they had a killer franchise on their hand, so they worked on the whole trilogy while developing ME2. You also notice this while plaing Mass Effect 2. In the loading screens they are even mentions how your decisions will have impact on the upcoming ME3.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

its only logical that it would be released at the same time across platforms

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Thats cool even though I prefer my ps3 I still will go with the 360 version so it remembers my actions from the first two games.

1.5 M is reasonable sales for a PS3 port. Those are the sales I expect.
