Off-topic, but how about testing out the downloadable offerings by giving and receiving a Wii Secret Santa game?

And both Galaxy games have a limited multi-player, in which the second player has a cursor and can freeze or shoot enemies.

Or, even better, get some of the demos from the shop channel!

I agree with the poster above me, there's plenty of variety.

However, people have forgot about WiiWare! I would reccommend from WiiWare Cave Story, World Of Goo, Bit. Trip series and TV show king for multiplayer

Hasbro Family game night or Monopoly is a bit of fun as well

However, for you I'd indefinately reccomend Monster Hunter Tri provided you have online, Brawl, Mario Kart, DKCR, Epic Mickey, Galaxy games, Goldeneye and Black Ops (I prefer it on the Wii to 360 due to pointer controls)

However, other peoples suggestions are just as good!

Isn't monster hunter just about grinding? for now am getting house of dead maybe i'll be getting brawl, mario galaxy is multiplayer??

No. I'd say that Tri is about the enjoyment of actually accomplishing something with friends against the odds. If you have commitment, it's the best game for anyone to ever get!

The galaxy games have multiplayer, and it would probably be better for kids, because they just need to point and freeze. It's "co-op" -)

ok thx for the info, I might get monster hunter later for myself :)

at noname: for the secret santa stuff I can't really do that right now because the wii won't be hook on the tv untill december 25

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

All of the above recommendations are good.

Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl are also must haves.

This, you've got yourself hundreds of hours of gameplay with just these two games.

If that's the only problem, you don't actually have to send your gift until the 31st, since folks are going to be busy: the 15th is merely the deadline to sign up, and we historically have lots of people who aren't able to send their gifts until January.
