1. Gears 3 announcement delayed in May

2. Gears 3 release delayed a few months ago

3. Gears 3 feature announcement delayed today

Yeah, we're off to a great start with this title. *eyeroll*

I wonder if we're looking at this all the wrong way. Perhaps Microsoft doesn't want to overshadow something else of theirs . . . I did hear that they have more then one title to announce. Or maybe it was show. Either way, a Gears announcement would obliterate most other ones other then a new Halo . . .

Maybe its smart, maybe it isn't. All I know is the VGAs just got less interesting.

Then again, Mass Effect 3.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Halo Wars 2 announced here, or potentially a new Age of Empires. 

Both of which would use Kinect.

If the Gears announcement WAS Kinect, then it would really overshadow one of the other 2.

I think there's a better chance of it snowing in hell tonight, personally.

All we'll get are a few multiplats like ME3, Arkham Asylum 2, and Saints Row 3 (that's a guess: it seems like this would be a good place to announce that). Like I said before, Microsoft doesn't announce anything outside of E3 anymore. The only exception is Gears 3, which everybody knew was coming a month before it was announced. We might see a Kingdoms trailer with actual gameplay, but I'd put that at about a 5% likelihood of actually happening.

Overshadowed? Not necessarily but too many people (not mentioning names) are overlooking and taking the OP's comment wrong.

I think an official trailer reveal of a just announced game (u3) and a game heavily rummored(ME3) would create more buzz than just another gameplay trailer of a game that already has been announced and is already anticipated.

But don't you find the lack of Microsoft games for 2011 odd? I'm sure they have something to announce and now would be a perfect time otherwise it goes all the way to GDC.
