Loved the original despite all the bitching and hair-tearing from "old skool" Transformers fans for all the changes made to the G1 storyline.

But the second was an absolute abortion, coming from someone who was really looking forward to watching it and wanted to like it. The VFX shots were literally the only thing worth watching.

The trailer looks good, but if the story and writing is as bad as the last, I don't know if I'll even bother going to the theater to watch it. I'd rather watch G1 animated episodes for the Xth time instead.

The first movie was nearly unwatchable and the second movie was entirely unwatchable.

Michael Bay is really bad at making movies. I don't understand why people continue to go see his movies, which give studios an excuse to continue funding more cinematic tragedies.

I saw the second movie because of Optimus Prime. I'll see the third just because of the fight that killed Optimus in the second one.

I acknowledge that they're shitty movies. I am capable of enjoying shitty  movies. I am also weak when it comes to Transformers.

God I'm so sick of hearing all the retarded children cry foul over childhood memories being reinvented in new storylines or expanded universes.

Between Transformers and SW:Prequels its just maddening annoying. Its like none of you can watch a movie for the pure fantasy and enjoyment of what's being presented.

They were ALL good movies. Were they Godfather type of perfection and clarity? No, but they weren't trying to be either. in Transformers case, they were what they were. Massive robots fighting over Earth with corny lines... no different than any of the cartoons. If you had expectations beyond that then you are simply stupid and I feel sorry for anyone you go to see any movie with as you are probably only satisfied with 5% of what you watch.

No, they weren't. Batman Begins was a good movie. The Dark Knight was a good movie. Iron Man was a decent movie. The first two Bourne movies were good. Casino Royale was very good. Quantum of Solace was decent. All popcorn movies that showed how blockbuster movies DON'T HAVE TO SUCK.

The Transformers movies are badly directed (close-ups of giant fighting robots with a blurred camera. yeah, nice.), badly written (no need to even justify this with examples), and badly acted (replace Megan Fox with a cardboard cutout and the movies might actually IMPROVE). On top of that, the stories had mammoth plot holes, half the Transformers were just ridiculous, the humor was completely unfunny, and the entire things were just... a mess.
