His comments were just that though, not a press release. He doesn't need to talk about how they're all doing on a yearly scale, I guess it's just more noticeable 360 is doing amazing in NA this year VS PS3 vs past years. Given the whole "360 leading 6 month in a row" and all that malarky.


His comments were " The PS3...uhmmm..." , It obviously means he just assumed the PS3 was doing badly when it's not even if you include this terrible NPD numbers.

The 360 has always done well in NA, it's nothing new. But they are doing better this year since they really done so many things right ( Slim, kinect, Halo, COD, Fable) all in one year.

 

That's just it, his comment on PS3 was based solely on this months PS3 NPD, not it's yearly figures. I doubt he even knows 360 total sales in NA this year, just that it's doing really well "6 months in first place", havn't heard any comments like that for PS3. Only way you would know PS3 was doing good this year was if you looked at past years figures and compared. His comments were pretty harmless ... don't see why you're getting so worked up about them.

Remember how all the Sony fanatics claimed that the Wii fad was officially done thanks to Move and it's amazing precision?!?! LOL! That didn't happen! And how about that Kinect taking the 360 to new high?!?! Hey, once again, people want precision!!! No one wants a dumb camera with lag! It's stupid! Plus, we all know it's only a PSEye clone! I never thought the Kevin Butler campaign was good. He came across as a smug asshat.

i agree,i don't live in the usa but whenever i see the ads posted on these boards i think he is kind of creepy

i guess people will say overall the PS3 is doing well this year but in the usa like todays NPD its not pretty,how much do they pay this butler bloke,lol

PS3 is doing alright actually, but PSP is definitely finished in America. Soon we will se PSP sales in Jp>>Sales in Other parts of the world combined X2...

The reports of 360's coming demise would seem to have been off the mark...WOW...and M$ was so silent about it the entire time…so coy!  Anyway, gaming is strong as ever, which is a good thing.

I'd like to see the Fable III numbers. It's at least undertracked here by 10k, and that's assuming it barely beat Donkey Kong. Anyway, interesting that Fallout > Fable last month, but Fable remains in the top 10 while Fallout disappears this month. Also, how were we so off on AC:B PS3?
