His comments were just that though, not a press release. He doesn't need to talk about how they're all doing on a yearly scale, I guess it's just more noticeable 360 is doing amazing in NA this year VS PS3 vs past years. Given the whole "360 leading 6 month in a row" and all that malarky.

His comments were " The PS3...uhmmm..." , It obviously means he just assumed the PS3 was doing badly when it's not even if you include this terrible NPD numbers.
The 360 has always done well in NA, it's nothing new. But they are doing better this year since they really done so many things right ( Slim, kinect, Halo, COD, Fable) all in one year.

That's just it, his comment on PS3 was based solely on this months PS3 NPD, not it's yearly figures. I doubt he even knows 360 total sales in NA this year, just that it's doing really well "6 months in first place", havn't heard any comments like that for PS3. Only way you would know PS3 was doing good this year was if you looked at past years figures and compared. His comments were pretty harmless ... don't see why you're getting so worked up about them.
