nice numbers for all this week, and wii has crazy sales

Man you must be lovin this.

Nothing will have NSMB-like sale, at least not for a long time. I still expect very strong sales for both these games, particularly DKC. Europe is fast becoming like Japan lately where a few highly regarded franchises perform very well there and 95% of other franchises bomb big time (a bad sign for the industry as a whole). It is not a clear representation of the overall picture.

In the US Mickey is a far more popular icon and should sell far better there, so best to wait for those numbers before jumping the gun there. It will reach at the very least a million WW, which is probably more than enough to make Warren Spector and Disney happy. Although I believe it'll sell 2-3 million.

DKC I believe will also perform far better in the US and I think should have great legs. I still predict sales of over 10 million for that game.

I suppose people have already posted this, but it's worth repeating.

That's just ridiculous, 2 weeks! That's like Halo Reach outselling KZ2 in Americas in its first 2 weeks...oh wait, that happened on opening day didn't it? Bugger!

It's a gaming message board full of hardcore gamers.. Trust me, that means at least half of them are Wii haters, if not more.. They just aren't open about it, because the mods run a tight ship here.

That's not to say I hold anything against them though, it is merely their opinion. After all, if I said what I thought about the PS3 or Kinect on this board I'd be banned instantly :)

Since when is FIFA a much bigger franchise than Gran Turismo?

A 50% drop in GT5, though that's sorta expected this gen, wonder how the coming weeks will fare.

28% boost for Wii, that's pretty interesting, were there some new releases/bundles?  

PSP isn't even doubling PS2 sales... that's just kinda depressing... and software is barely out pacing it one could say the wind is coming out of the PSPs sales (sails, play on words!). I don't think the PSP will be viable in a years time in Europe, PSP2, since it's practically confirmed finally, needs to hit before the holidays next year and get some good backing.
