Wow a VERY good second week for GT....not too many games open up with that big of a week and only drop about 55% the following week.

Wii is doing its holiday magic and both the 360 and PS3 are doing excellent as well.

And FINALLY a decent Halo Reach boost in EMEAA!

wouldn't they have adjusted GT5 already if they were going to this week in emeaa as they have already adjusted PS3 a bit,so GT5 pushed a few more h/ware than we thought seeing as its down 4% this week

blinding Wii sales they'd have a s/ware lockout if kinect and newish games weren't out for the HD twins, will ACB and BO fall out top ten next week,Wii party forging ahead to be the xmas seller,no holding back the wii now

fifa 11 amazing sales

a bit disappointing for the monkey and the mouse in others,oh well can't have everything,i guess they'll keep increasing

GT5 and NFS adverts in the football tonight

Nope, adjustments comes down the road even more.

If you didn't know where the PS3 got adjusted up by 1m it was from  2 years ago it was undertracked on some regions in EMEAA according to VGC.

When do PD release their figures?

This softens the blow of GT5 flopping in Japan. It's got 3 more weeks of holidays sales and could pull  300k plus in each of them in EMEAA alone!

Japan was never going to be humongous for GT5, which is why I predicted it would do no more than 500,000 week 1, 1.1 mill lifetime. I'm sure it will have bundles, especially in Japan. So it will clear 1 million there.

Looking at EMEAA, however, is another matter, and this is the region that shows that userbase difference =/= much lower sales...

GT4 second week: 542,279

GT5 second week: 520,794

EMEAA loves them some Gran Turismo. My 6 million lifetime prediction for the region looks reachable, as does 4 million WW by year's end.

You really think it'll top a million in Japan after a 55k second week? It'll need lots of bundling to even beat RE5 :/

They haven't yet.

Yea I meant do.

so in the various regions the Wii beats the DS everywhere except france,uk and mysterious other

apart from the scandinavians who fancied their PS3's this week but not by much,

slimebeast must be racking up a few PS3's -_-

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

No question Wii / DS will be above 1m worldwide again this week.

If you were to just combine EMEAA & Japan for rankings this week, you'd get a very different ranking than what we're used to in recent weeks:

DS: 595k ish

Wii: 565k ish

PSP: 480k ish

PS3: 385k ish

X360: 270k ish

In reality, we'll have something more like this:

DS: 1.3m - 1.7m

Wii: 1m - 1.3m

X360: 675k - 975k

PS3: 675k - 825k

PSP: 550k - 650k

Basically, Americas flips the worldwide strength of PSP and X360.

So, you expect between 435k-735k Wii's for NA. Above 1M souns reasonable.
