no they want the hype to die down so people actually buy DS's and Wii this holiday. |
Oh yeah that makes sense... but they already exhibited 3DS so people already know they exist. Anything else about it is probably about the line up of games?
What I want from a game.
Gameplay > Story > Content > Graphics
Visual Style > Graphics
Smooth Camera, Intuitive Controls
Friction! When everything feels right!

Virtual Console for classic Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. Updated with 3D graphics. So far those are the only 2 announced. This is real. This is amazing. 3 months.
This was a slide Ninteno showed a couple months back when they announced some other stuff about it.

Doubt it. Certainly a strong enough product to stand on its own packaging. Avatar could be a good pull though |
Oh yeah I was just kidding. Just trying to think of stupid megatons it could be. I honestly think they're just going to announce more games, the western launch price, and maybe one or two random other features, like GPS and a pedometer, maybe a new Brain Age or something. I think they're just trying to let DS and Wii dominate this Christmas. Next year is the year of the 3DS, and the start of the next generation.
I'm really hoping they announce more GB/GBC games for it soon though. I'm definitely buying Super Mario Land and Link's Awakening on launch day.
PRICE, thats probably the most horrible thing they're hiding, but were used to it anyway, and its not like MS or Sony don't screw us on extras.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

OMG, considering that PSP is teh undead portable and that PSP2 will be undead squared, if they mate and breed with 3DS we'll be invaded by an evil undead army of portables! Now I understand why Pachter is in denial, he know they'll eat his brain first!!! OK, who said "some undead thing already chewed his brain when he was a child"? O-) |
I can't imagine Shigeru Yamamoto coupliz Kaz Hirai

That being said, the 3DS, really isn't that much better and will deal with similar issues trying to prove it isn't just a supped up DS with analog controls. |
It'll display games as good as the early PS3 launch, not a hardware as powerfull as.
@ Darth Tigris: I doubt there will be one in the shelves for them to keep.

As a fellow francophone, I beg you to stop using unacceptable foreign words in your native language.
It makes me mad, so mad... :O
Edit: Oh wait, you're Italian, that makes it even worse.

"Passé" in English is a gallicism that somehow extends its original meaning, it's not simply the French word. There are far worse examples, like "bimbo", an italianism that has a meaning completely different from the original, that is masculine (feminine is "bimba") and it means "kid", "male child" or "male baby", and, only in Tuscany, also "mate", "friend" or "youngster" as an appellative. My favourite mistranslated italianism is "pepperoni", though, it's always amusing seeing the face of Americans when in Italy they order a "pizza coi peperoni" and are served a pizza with bell peppers.
