Because they are saying it is as powerful as some early PS3 hardware. Which means that it will be stupid expensive to make games for and based off the PSP userbase, will only have a solid audience base in Japan and mainly from Monster Hunter games.

That being said, the 3DS, really isn't that much better and will deal with similar issues trying to prove it isn't just a supped up DS with analog controls.


It'll display games as good as the early PS3 launch, not a hardware as powerfull as.
