Monster Hunter, and loyal playstation fans should keep it in existence. First party exclusives...

Monster Hunter's not a guarantee for the PSP2, although Sony will definitely do everything they can to keep the handheld franchise exclusive to the PSP line, as a 3DS-exclusive Monster Hunter would essentially make PSP2 dead on arrival.

I don't think we should come up with such conclusions just yet. The PSP2 hasn't even been officially announced. Though yes it is possible that if it loses its exclusiveness with Monster Hunter it could be in some trouble especially in Japan. I'll wait until further news (E3 2011)to surface to make a judgement.
