I haven't played them YET (no PS3) so I couldn't speak to if they had those elements or not.  Trying to avoid spoilers ...

Its open world guys, nothing like Uncharted. 

Agreed, The Angilina Jole look was getting stale, her model was terrible in underworld.

Im actually pretty Xxcited about this, I stoped playing Tomb Raider after 3 and to get a fresh restart on the series is a blessing.

hopefully it destroys uncharted, takes back the crown

I'll read the article when the mag comes in the mail.  I don't think Tomb Raider's origin is too fantastical, anyway.  The way I understand it, Lara was the sole survivor of a crash (I think it was a boat in the originals and a plane in the ones since Legend but it's been a while--I may be wrong) and she learned to survive.  Nothing too wild about that.  Of course, since then, she's been to Atlantis, Avalon, fought Yetis, and wielded Excalibur.

Then again, that other explorer has seen some pretty otherworldly stuff, too.............

The new Lara looks too much like that chick from Prince of Persia (I think her name was Elika). She also reminds me of Hilary Swank, or a young girly looking boy. Not hot at all.
