Another great RPG for the DS, if you're a fan of the series it's living up to the pedigree for me so far, the first two Golden Suns were the best looking RPGs on the GBA and for Dark Dawn that's no different, best looking DS RPG hands down.

The story progresses the Golden Sun world a lot, set 30 years after the events of the last game you set out as the kids of the heroes from the first game, some of the plot devices they use are a bit cliche but it's still got its own twists and turns.

Anyway how are you guys liking the game?  

Here in Europe, its coming out on Friday.  I've preordered my copy and can't wait.

That will never happen, plus they're probably making the 4th game on 3DS which might have a similar deal moving from GS1 to 2 which means I need my copy, go buy your own noob!  Look at all these other fine members waiting patiently for it to release in their areas, you won't even buy it even though you have the chance to, for shame!

Question, do I have to play or know anything about the other Golden Sun games in order to play this?

No in fact it gives you the story of the previous games, details of course are lacking so you'd have to play the old games to know every detail and hit of the nostalgia bone they make but overall the story is like a new beginning for the series especially since you're playing as a new crew.
