I don't get all the criticism for using amazon sales numbers. I mean sure obviously it is only a very small piece of the overall picture in sales, but then again so is the % of data measured by this site.. I buy nearly all my games on amazon now, and I know others that do as well. It is on the rise as a viable game store.

I'm not sure you can judge it yet. It depends on its sales curve. If they start to advertise it could easily pick up... You'll probably end up being right though, as I have yet to see a prime time slot.

I think it originally came about because Amazon ranks are only for the past hour... which means they can't really be representative of much, however if you were to check them at regular intervals and watch trends and patterns they can be a useful source.
