I was looking at my quick ref charts and noticed something ...



If you take a look at every week in Nov, in each year, for both consoles, 360 has the highest sales for every week this year. Beating all previous and current 360 and PS3 weeks in November.

So if this trend continues, we'll see something like this

4th Dec - 610k plus
11th Dec - 740k plus
18th Dec - 1,015k plus
25th Dec - 1,000k plus

Total - 3,350k

Think it's probable given it's just had the best november running straight?

We can also say, Kinect has given the 360 a bigger boost than previous 360 and PS3 price cuts no?

OT: Kinect has helped the 360 quite a bit.

it will be bigger than 2008 almost for sure.

More games , Call of duty , Halo , Kinect and 360 Slim.

I Predict big sales for 360.

Of course, this is sales section and so it's fine and worth talking about. That and it has little to do with the other thread, I'm just ripping the charts from there as a visual.

Good observation, but I don't think Kinect gave a bigger boost then the PS3 benefited from a Slim. I mean just look at 2009 PS3 sales compared to 2008, it's almost double!

Still I agree with your hypothesis for December, but I think PS3 will follow relatively closely. Peak year for both consoles, and weakest full year for the Wii (at least since 2008).

Kinect has helped the 360 but has done nothing to hurt the other consoles, nothing. Great sales though for all consoles.

Try looking hard, and just because you see a PS3 chart don't assume. The chart is there as a comparison to how 360 sales will be in relation to Nov. PS3 sales could be 2 mill for the next 4 weeks and the thread would still be valid.
