It's a bit sad that the PS3 is lacking so much behind the 360 and Wii in Americas...

But well, impressive numbers overall! GT5 sales in America lower than what I expected, but still not bad.

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

So many amazing things here I can't even recount all of them so I'll highlight a few.

1) The Wii's comeback ... wow.  Seriously, its time everyone just shut up about the console and simply recognize that it owns the holiday season.

2) The 360, 5 years after launch, has its biggest Black Friday week ever and almost sold as much as the Wii.  Kinect sells MORE than the 360.  Is it hot?  I think we have our answer.

3) PS3, during GT5's launch, sold more in its weakest region than in GT zombieland Europe.  You know what that is PS3 fanboys?  That's the good news.  Enjoy it.

The Americas, once again, have set the patterns for this gen.  Wii in first, 360 in second, PS3 in third, and alllllllllll doing well.  This gen is the best.

There's no bad news though, all consoles are healthy right now. Any rational, honest gamer knows what good news truly is.

He were saying that it will have legs as the strongest regions will sell even more week 2

I have to say I'm more impressed for this than anything else on the list:

15#
New Super Mario Bros. (DS)
Nintendo
237 180,775 9,046,822

Why's that surprising?

Maybe because it is 5 years old?

Above: still the best game of the year.

I should be happy about DK and the huge HW numbers but seeing the minor boost that Metroid: Other M got makes me only semi-happy overall...

Metroid Other M is on the top 200? O.o

So you believe it is a conspiracy

lol no....the most probably reason, as TheSource pointed out is that ioi forgot to add the SW #s

Just a simple mistake really.... And VGC do adjust SW sales once in a while...they obviously do make certain mistakes once in a while.

Ioi already confirmed.... and were corrected already

No, it isn't...T_T

Mario Party DS (DS)

This seems... well unrealistically low considering it had those two discounted DSi bundles with brand new colors (green/orange).  Considering the huge adjustments several PS3 titles got (which were bundled only by specific retailers, not a manufacturer done industry wide thing like this was), I think maybe Mario Party DS deserves a 2nd look?
