OT: Not a bad week for anyone, although  I thought PS3 would be ahead of the Wii, even by a little. Great week, nonetheless. GT5 is a monster, as expected!


For being the most expensive and third place console worldwide (not counting handhelds), The PS3 with GT5 is doing a great job let's hope it continues at least in the short term.

First off as I suspected GT5 boost isnt much.  It is just to late in this generation for a single title to make a big impact.  To many people already picked up a PS3 for GT5P, or GT5 but willing to wait and play other titles,  or for some other title knowing full well that they will purchase GT5 when it arrives.

The 360 needs to outsell the PS3 by 150k in America to be above it WW.I was saying the PS3 would have to do very poorly next to last year's BF for that to happen.

So are you predicting that the PS3 will be ahead of the Xbox 360 worldwide after it's been said and done for last week?

Do you not understand the point of a parenthetical?  Sarcasm detector broken?   I was not saying that it bombed.  I was saying the many posters had unrealistic expectations.

Not bad for GT5, sure it didn't give that big of a boost, but are you people forgetting the fact that the Ps3 already had a Gran Turismo game? That would naturally not make the bump as big. Good number all around though!

I have to admit, i thought GT5 would be higher in this region, hopefully it has a longer sales momentium, like other GT games.

Yes I expect the PS3 to beat the 360 WW by about 30-60k units.
