Xbox might be > 600K in Americas
Ps3 <400K for sure.
GT5 selling great and it boosted the PS3 by about 100k too!
KINECT is holding pretty steady whilst Halo Reach continues to sell way less then what Halo 3 did in the same time period.

TheSource also predicted 1 million for the week, not just PS3 fans. And yes, many did think it would push more systems this week than it did, myself included, but if it keeps pushing them throughout the holiday (with the included holiday push- making it flat or up YoY), it will have done what people thought it would (outside orf crossing the Wii - which some of us didn't think it would do the entire holiday). I don't know exactly what most PS3 fans predicted for hardware in EMEAA this week, but my prediction was an additional 120K units. So, while it was off by 26k, it's still a great push (this is still not including Japan or the United States) and not too terribly overpredicted. And let's not try to downsize 94,000 consoles. That's still a large amount 9and this doesn't include the rest of what it might push throughout the holidays). Lastly, I will admit that the Wii is doing better than I thought it would this holiday, but if PS3 is in 2nd this week, one could call your predictions laughable too, no? |
My prediction has already been laughable for a while now Lol...remember I predicted that PS3 would come in a distant #3 for Holiday 2010...Wii is likely to make my prediction correct as I expected Wii to be a lot higher than both the PS3 and 360 this Holiday...but 360 is making my prediction about it being way higher than PS3 this Holiday laughable.
Also, I never said you specifically I just said that many people thought GT5 would massively push PS3 to potentially higher than Wii #'s which is laughable...

No offence to you or anything but to be honest I am getting very tired of hearing these kind of comments every single week Lol...Sales of anything I imagine are hard to track so games are no different. Its not going to be 100% accurate but its what we got! Wii could be overtracked and PS3 could be undertracked but who knows until the adjustments happen? People who make these comments and don't trust the sales I honestly don't understand why your on this site then...
Every week somebody and sometimes even many people say that the PS3 is undertracked which could be true but so could 360 and Wii...ever since the last big PS3 adjustments nobody will let it go and move on.
If you don't trust the #'s then why bother staying here or commenting in sales threads? GT5 did great this week and if it did lower than your expectations oh well but you shouldn't go around saying that PS3 or a game is undertracked every time sales don't go as you wanted it to...when Wii was #3 back in September/October was I happy? Not really but I didn't go around saying oh the Wii is undertracked!
You could be right and PS3 and GT5 could both be undertracked but for now these are the #'s we have and until a possible future adjustment happens I am sticking with them.

Number are great but I don't think vgchartz has a clue what ps3 is doing in EMEAA. sure it had a boost but what are the real numbers? 20,000 off, 50,000 off, 100,000 off. we will see when shipments come in.

I don't care what GT4 did, stop holding onto to GT4 sales for dear life when predicting the future, suuuuch a narrow way of looking at it. |
I don't believe I have ever 'held onto GT4 sales for dear life'.
But this is such a ridiculous statement. Of course you should look at sales of previous games in the series. How else would you have any idea of how well it will sell?
I doubt GT5 will sell 1M next week because its sales look to be too low in Japan and NA. However, GT5 has outsold GT4 by 100K in its first week in EMEAA so it's not hard to imagine that it could hit 6M lifetime (I predicted 5.5M).
