The written part of the Japan Preview is more about thesource's predictions but if you look at the table, GT5 wasn't overtracked.

Oh, f'crying out loud. EVERY. FUCKING. WEEK. Can't we have a single Japan sales thread without people bitching about the Japan preview being off? It's just a preview, a guestimate. We don't guarantee that it's accurate; rather, it's what our analyst (TheSource) predicts based on trends and historical data. And frankly, he's still more accurate than some of the other analysts that some members here orgasm over at the mention of their name.

If this keeps up, there WILL be bans. It's getting to the point where I don't like coming into the Japanese sales threads because it's always the same thing. Unless you want to start making weekly predictions every week before any numbers are released, I don't want to see it anymore. Hell, if someone really wants to take me up on that, I'll be willing to crunch the numbers and give accuracy rates on everyone participating. It won't be prediction league quality, but it may be interesting...

Actually it'll be like this until 3DS, very few people could go out and buy a system when 3 months later you have its sucessor and it's retro-compatible! I know this week DS will sell 1.5m, just saying that without 3DS it would reach 200m LTD withour problems LOL

Wait, I'm not doing any damage control here. <_< I couldn't care less about GT5 and I don't even own a PS3.

It's just that I've seen so many times now people going bananas over VGChartz numbers not being exactly like MC. Last week MC had PS3 above Wii while VGChartz switched them for the weekly report, and some people started questioning the VGC data. There are two other trackers out there that I do know of, though I honestly have no idea which one is the more reliable.

Yes, I know, VGC and MC are usually very close, but hey in the 7th Epic Console War every 1k counts, or so I've learnt.
