Well, now seems like a good time to call an attorney and get the ball rolling on my claim of the moon. I'm pretty sure since it's responisble for the tide everyone who uses a wave will owe me money. Espeically the movie "The Perfect Storm" which starred a giant wave. =P

Seems you didnt read the article,  I believe someone already claimed the moon

I assume he must of messed up the paperwork because it also said he claimed the solar system which would include the sun, but this woman is claiming the sun anyways. =P

Fine. She's now liable for everyone's skin cancer.

It'll balance out when all those suckers using solar energy have to start paying out the ass for use of her property

Edit: and the farmers, and everyone who got a non-cancerous tan

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

This may very well be the most stupid thing I have EVER heard in my entire life EVER.

edit: Is this actually true or not?

Yeah, it's true. Officially you can buy any star you fancy for something like £40 (as long as it's not already owned of course). People usually buy them as presents or for the novelty of owning a star. I guess by extension our sun features amongst the stars you can buy, and no one realised this until her.

Finally I can sue someone for my house fire.

Just wait, bitch.

omg this is just... I´m speechless...

Well, I do find this interesting actually.  Libertarian philosophy dictates the answer to most of the problems in society is property rights.  So, her argument she now owns the sun, is an interesting thing for libertarians to discuss among themselves.  Is there ANYTHING Libertarians would argue should not be own by countries or individuals?  One thing, I am not sure anyone could pull of ownership by engaging in squatter's rights with the sun .
