You get that from Cake Wrecks?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I'm not completely certain they will. Modern Warfare 2 "only" sold 15 million by the end of its first year. And while, yes, Black Ops is tracking 1.355 million above Modern Warfare, I doubt it's going to be above 18 million by the end of the year.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii on the other hand, should be well above 20 million. Mario Kart Wii sold 2.6 million last year in the same period as the rest of the year, and that was with no bundle, as well as not in the first place having the momentum NSMB Wii has. In the 4 weeks before week ending 20th/21st November, MKWii sold 630,000 (in 2009) while NSMB Wii sold 871,000

Somewhere around 4 million for the rest of NSMB Wii's year sounds realistic to me. Which puts it up to 21 million. Which, unless I'm mistaken, puts it up to a nice 8th spot of the generation, behind Wii Sports/Play/Fit/Resort, Mario Kart Wii/DS, NSMB DS and Nintendogs.

It should pass all of them, save Wii Sports, probably Wii Play and possibly Wii Sports Resort.

... Actually, the only games it's passing this holiday is Modern Warfare 2, Mario Kart DS, Brain Age and Diamond/Pearl.

You think it will sell that much? Interesting! We shall see.

And those are some pretyt hefty games to pass up, frankly speaking. Getting past Modern Warfare 2 would be no mean feat, and I'll be surprised if it manages it by the end of the year!

Well, I'm not really sure. Here's a breakdown of the biggest Wii holidays. The sales are from next week until the first week ending in the new year.

'08:

Mario Kart Wii  - 3518k, first holiday, week 34-39
Wii Fit - 3197k, second holiday in Japan, first elsewhere, week 53-58

'09

New Super Mario Bros. Wii - 8616K, weeks 2-7
Wii Fit Plus - 5594K, weeks 9-14
Wii Sports Resort - 5509K, weeks 23-28
Mario Kart Wii - 2111K, weeks 86-91

That's 21.83 million out of around 70 million

I personally see the '10 season being something along the lines of

'10

Donkey Kong Country Returns - 5000k
New Super Mario Bros. Wii - 4000k
Wii Sports Resort -  3500k
Wii Party - 2750k
Just Dance 2 - 2000k
Wii Fit Plus - 2000k
Mario Kart Wii - 1350k

Total of those: 20.6 million out of ~ 80 million.
