I have to go with red steel 2 too. I loved the controls
3d dot game heroes (I did not open it yet but there has to be some reason i bought it :0)
Well it's close but, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Really Really, awesome game. This takes it
the other that was close was peace walker. Now, this is because I didn't like portable ops. And the previous 2 metal gears I didn't like near as much as the first two. This I did. But, LCatGoL caught me more offguard.
bayonetta, castlevania, heavy rain, force unleashed 2, 007 blood stone, and costume quest were all games that surprised me. blood stone and force unleashed2 were way more fun than reviews stated, great rentals. costume quest is my downloadable goty with lara croft in second. and bayonetta, castlevania and heavy rain were huge surprises to me, didnt read any reviews and they were all freakin awesome.
Monster Hunter Tri, I've never played anything quite like it. It's so much fun with your friends especially when Deviljho comes out of nowhere and kicks the shit out of everyone. XD

Here's another song to add to that epic list Darth. Nier truly is an under appreciated awesome amazing game.
Fallout New Vegas. After hearing how laggy and bugged out it was, I decided not to buy it, even though i loved fallout 3. A friend let me borrow it and now I'm hooked. Seriously, even though the game has crashed on me 3 times, I can't put it down. It's just such an huge place to to explore. Nothing has made me feel so awesome this year than punching someone in the face with a power fist and watching their limbs fly across the room (Thx bloody mess perk s('~^d) ). Well maybe the boss fights from GoW3 can top it off but still.
