Can we get an average sale?

Because sports etc are always gonna be top because of yearly releases.

don't forget that there are hundreds of sport games, much more than any other genre

"Other" is my favourite genre of all time! Great to see it doing so well.

This is why I did not bother doing such a thing. If you do that to one Genre you have to do it to them all. That would have took hours upon hours and their would still be those who would disagree, so its not worth it. FPS can be taken part too. Actually every single label can be taken apart and then somone would point out another difference and it starts all over again 0_o In the end FPS doesnt dominate. Look at the top 20 sellers this gen. Look at the top 50 probably too. It takes awhile before FPS takes the crown

Not really there is a reason people bitch when something is a Rail Shooter and not a FPS But yes you take one apart in all reality you should take them all apart. All i can say to that is that person will want to SHOOT themselves trying to lol

I think it was more of making a point that compared to FPS, other genres are so broad (and personally, I think sports is inflated, Wii Fit is a sports game? More like other if you ask me)

But if you did that then other would be top easily too so its the same thing. It should be under fitness but thats where the problem would start. Then you have to take music games out of other and into music. Does dance games fit under music or does it get its own label too? 0_o Then someone would say well the Sci Fi fps is different than the modern setting FPS etc etc its gets to crazy if you go into details =0 Other genres are pretty broad though that we all can agree on. Another I notcied is there is no Party genre.

Woah splitting up FPS even further would be foolish. Dance isn't big enough to be it's own genre (right?), and are based off music. Party Genre would be great though! There are lots of party games.

I'm not advocating splitting up the genres, I am however saying FPS games are much less of a broad scope and those numbers of sports games are misleading making us believe that Sports is owning this generation, while the biggest game on that genre was bundled with every console out of japan. (WS was bundled in Europe I believe, although I could be wrong about that.

I know and I agree. Honestly though I would go throught it all and do that but I will leave it to someone like THESOURCE to do as he probably has better ways of doing it then how i did it if he wants. I mean i just went through and added up the bottom of each page =0. Then did all the other math on the computer. So that would take me weeks to do a little at a time. I guess its more of a basic view of it. I did Update it and added number of games and number of sales average per game on the (Updated) one. Im actually surpirsed by the lack of FPS games made compared to most of the rest. FPS does take over by a lot on average sold per game.
