And you can always tell who is going to complain about it.

Such a simple comeback, yet the greatest response available.  Kudos sir.

No offense, but leo-j's Best Buy threads are way better, especially because they always start with "Yet another trip to f***ing Best Buy". He just knows how to tell a story in an entertaining way.

I agree. I feel the same way when I go to Best Buy. That place sucks donkey balls!

hey, the geek squad guy at my local bb helped me figure out an issue on my older desktop free of charge so some arent that bad

How exactly am I complaining?  I just stated the obvious.

Don't know much about Move.  I'm sure it does what it needs to do well.

But I opened Kinect and played it with my kids, and I can understand why people can be frustrated in the beginning.

It took me about 10 minutes to figure things out.

But when we started playing kinect adventures and kinect sport, i realized it is definitely different than Wii control.

I don't know anything about Eyetoy so I can't compare, but kinect is the most fun my family ever had together with game consoles.  simply fun.  Played it for over three hours, and I can't feel my legs.  think i'm gonna get in shape.

I don't blame you for not being impressed with Kinect Sports.  I thought the demo was pretty lousy as well.  I played Volleyball, Table Tennis, and Soccer and I felt like the games were pretty bad and hard to control.

However, I also played the Dance Central demo at Old Navy and it was quite fun.  I need to see some better games for Kinect before I could ever feel compelled to buy Kinect.

*This thread is not intended on starting a flame war*

During black friday today I went to Best Buy to purchase an iPad. Whille I was there I went to the video game section. There was a cool motion control area where one side had kinect and the other side had move. I never tried kinect before so I decided to try it. It was a soccer type game. I personally did not like that specific soccer game because well it seemed as if kinect was not reading my movements clearly. Then I went to go try the Move since i didn't try that before either. It was that table tennis game that I heard so much about. It was hard!!! But I was still amazed at the accuracy of it when i moved around my paddle. Anyways what i noticed was that many people were actually getting frustrated with kinect and going over to play the Move. While some people were playing kinect only a crowd of 3-5 people were wathing them. Then when people were playing disc golf for move there was a crowd of about 10-12 people watching. It seemed that people actually liked it. So who knows, maybe Move might actually be some competition to kinect here in the States.

Except that the CEO of Best BUy calls out everything BUT Move as a big seller today:

""So far, so good," Best Buy's CEO Brian Dunn said just hours after his stores' 5 a.m. opening. Dunn, who greeted eager bargain shoppers at the Eden Prairie store Friday morning, said the lines at stores were longer this year than last. Among the popular items were Best Buy's $400 Wii console and LCD HDTV bundle, smart phones and Microsoft's new Kinect for the Xbox 360, he said."

Doesn't mention DS either, so does that mean DS gonna sell badly at Best Buy this weekend? iPads not mentioned, sounds like iPad fails at Best Buy too.

Now all it needs is more good games like sports champions and it'd be great. I'm hoping Sorcery turns out to be good.

I am sad that the Fight turned out to suck (according to reviewers, I haven't played it).

I haven't seen Kinect or Move at Best Buy. I kind of detest Best Buy. But, I was at Sam's Club and they had a Kinect and my kids thought it was awesome. I also heard that the soccer game was one of the worst games on the disc. Whatever. I'm not a fanboy, but I bought Kinect and I think that my kids are going to love it(for Christmas). I think that people need to give Kinect a little bit of a break. Remember all of the Wii shovelware? No offense to Sony, but they blatantly copied Nintendo. I think they have a better product, that is much more accurate, but it is treading ground that had already been gone over. Kinect is totally new and different. I'm not saying that it is a huge success, BUT it is intriguing enough for me to make a purchase. Look at Dance Central. When the games are done right, they are great. I think people need to give it a bit more time before crapping on it so soon.

Welcome to the past Sir, it's called Eyetoy... Misinformed much? And besides, Sony has been working on a WAND concept YEARS before the "Wii was even an idea", so how Sony can copy something they already have had in R&D for years from another company is really amazing. If anything, Nintendo copied Sony (maybe after seeing some tech vidoes) and thought that might be a success and had the balls to go for it (because they were kind of in a bind after losing so bad to Sony for 2 gens, so they were trying to differentiate themselves, so they basically had nothing to lose). I am definitely not saying they did (copy Sony), but for all I know, they might've.

And besides, everyone copies everyone.

Contradict yourself, much? Not to mention you're spewing what you believe as fact in an attempt to stealth-troll the Wii. Knock it off, and source yourself properly.

Doesn't Geek Squad also update your PS3 to the latest firmware for only $30?

About the move blatantly copying the wii, I could say the same about the Kinect copying the Eyetoy. Both are cameras, are they not?  Either way, neither have any amazing games that warrant their purchase imo.
