I've only played Galaxy 2, so I guess I have to vote for that.  It's going to be hard to beat though.

I going to get DKCR (preordered) and Kirby when released in Europe

This thread is about Nintendo games, not Wii games, besides, Layton 3 is by far the best entry in the series, the best DS game and one of the greatest games this gen & ever.

Galaxy 2 may be a better game, but my heart goes with Donkey Kong Country Returns. Just because is both harder and more fun. Ok. The fact that there are lots of bananas (and funky music) might help.

Layton 3 isn't doing anything special. It's better in the sense that it has more puzzles than the previous games, but it's way worse in the other half of the game, the story. The number of cutscenes and talk has increased greatly and that on the back of ridiculous story, hence why I said it jumped the shark.

The series is getting old, because the puzzles are more or less just alternate versions of stuff I've previously solved and it's clear that Level 5 wants to put more story into the games with each iteration. At this point I am not looking forward to the next Layton game anymore.


No it's not, the story greaty improved compared to the previous games, the cutscenes where top quality and as always the incredibly voice acting a delight to listen to.

The ending sequence, filled with that music, and all those emotinal moments are easily some of the most memorable and saddest moments in a videogame ever.

Thats a good post. I do wonder how many people in the world would consider that better than any Wii game. Itd get my vote. It would have been nice if they had atleast upped the graphics to New Super Mario Bros Wii. Owell, Still 4 awesome games cant complain. =)

SMG2 is easily the best game of 2010. Metroid: Other M was alright, I haven't played DKCR,but, might get it later. The game definitely had a few problems but Metroid Other M was one of the most absorbing games I've played this year.  It beats out the flawless Mario Galaxy 2 (for me) and I'm having a hard time thinking of any game for ANY SYSTEM that I enjoyed as much.  It was just what I wanted......more or less.
