It is solely about Wii games even though it says "games from Nintendo". Layton 3 isn't doing anything special. It's better in the sense that it has more puzzles than the previous games, but it's way worse in the other half of the game, the story. The number of cutscenes and talk has increased greatly and that on the back of ridiculous story, hence why I said it jumped the shark. The series is getting old, because the puzzles are more or less just alternate versions of stuff I've previously solved and it's clear that Level 5 wants to put more story into the games with each iteration. At this point I am not looking forward to the next Layton game anymore. |
No it's not, the story greaty improved compared to the previous games, the cutscenes where top quality and as always the incredibly voice acting a delight to listen to.
The ending sequence, filled with that music, and all those emotinal moments are easily some of the most memorable and saddest moments in a videogame ever.
