its aight nuthin too special

Seems pretty "meh" to me. Nothing we haven't seen already.

The first minute reminded of a realistic Flower game 

it looks like Gears Of War 3 with a bit more vegetation , nothing really impressive.

Scratch that, i think Gears 3 is better looking, even though they both use the same engine.

unreal engine never looked pretty, it always looked grainy and slimey.

??? i don't get the sarcasm/joke, or its not funny enough for me to know.

Well I mean this is UE3, granted no console can handle it the way it was shown in the trailer here but many PCs will devour it with the ability to run another game on the side by this point in time.

On a side note, It is pathetic how it only took 3 years to go from UE2 to UE3 (03, to 06) yet UE4 hasn't even been demoed yet. I blame the consoles with their astoundingly pisspoor hardware.

THe people posting and saying this is average are hilarious.

yea I know it's not the most impressive tech demo ever but it shows some new updates to unreal and the flowers in the start were beautifully done, the lighting is also very good, day/night transitions wasn't quite as natural as I would have like but still... It also should help to demonstrate to people that unreal engine can do more than bland grey war shooters and it's the devs and art direction that push games that way, I hear all the time how people hate unreal because it makes games grey which is just wrong lol. There are areas where the demo could improve and it was quite limited in scope plus the water running down stuff looked goofy.
