Sounds like what I was thinking pretty much. I'm not in the tech business so I'm not at twestern's level of knowledge. 

But I thought about it in terms of Crysis going to a console. No way. Never gonna happen. The game is just too big, eats ram like a fat kid at an ice cream bar, and generally chugs current computers.  It's also 1 big map, on a console it would have to be broken up into many maps, how do you do that?  What happens to the experience?

I mean my video card has more RAM than the 360's motherboard. 

Now, scale that 360 down and compare it to the Wii. It just doesn't have the muscle. My guess is the maps will be much bigger than before, much more going on at once. In the end it ends up much more than just downgrading the graphics can fix.  There's fundamental gaps that can't be bridged.

That can be sen the other way as well: Developing on the Wii is becoming a better and better idea by the day, so it's only a matter of time before one of the truly big names jumps over. Out of the ones you listed, RE5 is clearly the least complete, and has the most proven fanbase on the Wii already. Capcom also likes the Wii much more than the other companies you listed, heck they were going to make the previous part a Gamecube exclusive before poor sales forced them to go multiplat.

Not saying RE5 on the Wii is inevitable, but it would certainly make sense and I'd like it to happen. Forget what I said earlier, it looks like I want it after all.

My, the rude one aren't we? Let me guess, another PC gamer first, console gamer second right? I do love people who try to use that as the high ground when the matter of console bias emerges.

Why not take one or even two years to make RE5 suitable for the Wii, obviously things would be changed, a few scenarios and scenes altered and content added to compensate for the delay and lesser graphics, but I'd gladly let the 360 and Ps3 have their versions so long as the Wii got its own. All I've ever said is that it is ridiculous to have the only system excluded from RE5 be the Wii. If Ubisoft can put Assassin's Creed on a Cell Phone, I'd expect at the very least for Capcom to be able to put RE5 on the Wii.

People who really want to play RE5 should simply get them selvs a PS3 or 360.

The game should be played as it was meant to be played, and that's with traditional controls with HD visuals and 5.1 surround sound.

who said thats how it was ment to be played? At the itme every developer though the Wii was a joke and wouldn't sell. SO offcourse they were gonna say shit like that. We want the game to be on NEXT Gen hardware. Not beefed up gamecube bullshit.

Wii has 5.1 surround sound.

RE4 was intended to be played with a traditional controller as well, but was much improved by the Wii controller. Clearly the Wii has superior control scheme for such a game and could still play RE5 using either the classic controller or gamecube controller.

HD visuals are prefered, but not essential.

Not everyone wants to invest 335-560 dollars for just one game.

Not everyone wants to support the 360 or Ps3

Not everyone wants to see a franchise exclusively segmented across multiple game consoles. We don't need any more Square-Enix's in the gaming world.
