Yup. I'll be surprised if 8/10 isn't a standard from many sites. 7/10 will come from harsher sites. 5/10 from those who like to be controversial. The 9/10s will come from casual sites and those not swept away by the hype (of which there is likely to be at least one, somewhere, right?).

If so, read the last 10-15 sites, about 7 people complaining about it, 1 finding it good

PD should have just released the damn thing at 2009. hell remove all standard cars and release it at 2008. the 800 gt4 in HD with no interior view is such a kick in the crotch...

okay well there are really quite a few bad "previews" in that thread. At least more than good ones though naysayers are usually louder

summarized some points:

- bad presentation

- some screentearing (probably not that big of a deal)

- bad menu music, bad engine sound and bad collision sound

- apparently Dirt 2 cars look better (though keep in mind that it's still a German site, could be PS3 OR PC version)

- bad looking landscapes, the trees aren't even the worst. Bad shadows (one poster also mentions bad lighting and bad smoke effects)

- collision damage only available Level 20 and up

- unrealistic bouncing off the walls

- some say rubberband AI, some say not

I actually dont think issues are going too be magnified as some other people think. I highly doubt it will go below 90 metascore

My main concern is the 800 ..800!!! standard cars. You cant change wheels on them or do racing modifications on em. No cockpit view. I mean the standard cars are just making the game look bad. Couldnt they have made 50 more premium ones and just screwed the standard ones alltogether :(.

The environments are weak at some points, trees are not exactly wow, damage is a bit :(, sure its fancy but it doesnt feel realistic as you bounce around. Shadows are ..jaggy from what ive seen!

and 5 years in the making with constant delays.

i swear to god i really love gran turismo and the ps3, but im just scared over the reviews gt5 will get. wish they would delay it haha..

Could you explain that one a bit more, because it seems I haven't payed attention in the last few weeks regarding GT5 news. Also read some comments about this in that thread but I still couldn't figure out my questions.

What does standard car mean in this context ? Not tuneable at all or just some parts of it or are they tuneable but if you do you can't drive certain races anymore with that car ?

und ja, standard autos sehen halt schlechter aus (spielern zufolge schlechter als die in forza 3), sind kaum zu tunen und haben keine cockpitansicht, ausserdem ist das schadensmodell seeehr begrenzt.
