Forums - Sony - Prediction: GT5s metacritic will be only 79-84%

I think it will be the dissapointment of the year + there will be much nitpicking by the reviewers.

So far, ive only heard bad things about it by the people who already have it, they say the graphics are bad (not nearly as good as the videos), the sound is horrible and so on

To be honest i am if any thing a 360 fanboy but after my copy of GT5 arrived early this morning i've had a few hours to spend playing it and I really can't see it having a metacritic average as low as you predict. I think it will be around the low to mid 90's mark. Once i've spent some more time with it though i will post again.

I will tread cautiously since I'm thinking this is a joke thread....

I'm estimating a 91 metascore

I say metacritic of 87%, maybe even 83%, but only after the first days. When the REAL reviews hit, the score will be upped again.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

I agree. I am really looking forward to this game and i will be picking it up tomorrow with a logitech driving force gt but i believe the expectations are too high for this game. i can already say what COULD be better and i dont even have the game yet. makes me terrified when thinking of all the improvements the reviewers will wanna see, especially after 5 years.

fingers crossed that some reviewers are more gentle :(, i predict 83-88 meta. (but i wish upon 99 lol)

Actually, a Metacritic Score of about 85%, or even lower, wouldn't surprise me at all. Many reviewers are going to be very picky with this one. Unless the game is perfect, some will mark it down heavily for failing to meet their personal expectations. If it had come out a year or two ago, things would be different, but, after the enormous delays, everyone is expecting something special, and a solid GT game will not be special enough for most.

Many fanboys may be in tears by the end of tomorrow.

No, im serious, almost all people on the forum i visit daily who have the game already are dissapointed by it.

And they are not casuals but gt fans

If favoritism for Reach could keep it's metascore above 90 I don't see how favoritism for GT5 won't do the same.

I precisely agree with you, the wait for it has been so long every issue is going to be massively magnified
