Americas Preorders article is up. Click here to read it.

People talking about Gran Turismo 5, first week sales in America should in the 450,000 650,00 to 550,000 800,000 range and 1.8 to 2.2 million worldwide EU only, since it is a lot more popular in Europe than in America.

Fixed for better accuracy and my feeling.

Around the Network

Killzone 3 make it debut!!!

Golden Sun is looking okay

Skyward Sword keeps truckin' on.  Nintendo, we really need some new info on the game.  -_-

Killzone 3 finally appears on the list, arising from the depths of the pre-order chart.   It should pass up Socom 4 by next week, and should break the top 10 sometime in January.

Somebody needs to fix the preorder chart...it has uDraw Studio on their with an unknown date for the week ending November 20th...uDraw released in America on the 13th! uDraw Studio is no longer allowed to be on the preorder chart.

It probably wont hit 10 million, especially when giants like GTAIV only sell 6.8 million even if it was multiplatform, GTA has always been more popular than GT, so for GT5 to outsell the PS3 version of GTAIV by that much is pretty unrealistic.

In Japan GT4's LTD wasnt even double its first week, which was 670,000. Vgchartz predicts about 500,000-550,000 opening for GT5 in Japan so it may not even sell 1 million.  9 million between US and EMEAA unlikely.

GT4 sold less than 3 million in US, now lets say GT5 has some miracle and does 3 million which is GTAIV (PS3) sales then it would still need another 6 million in EMEAA which only 1 GT did that (GT4 with 6.5 million) and that was on PS2.

So 10 million is very unlikely.

Just curious, what do you expect the LTD sales to be?

GT5 doesnt seem to be having PS3 bundles as of yet. Theres been a few exceptions but most games on PS3 have sold less than on PS3, and just overall games havent been putting in the sales of PS2 at all. So a couple less million for GT5 is reasonable.

There'll probably be a lot of bundles soon.
