Forums - Gaming - Have you reached your game buying limit for a system this generation?

No such thing as a limit. If I want the game I will buy it eventually. I have around 12 PS# games 12 Wii games and close to 100 X360 games at the moment. Why the hell would I suddenly stop buying games or renting games when so many good games are still on the horizon and don`t seem to be stoping anytime soon? I used to buy most of mine at release however, lately I have been renting a game and then buying it at a later date once it is around $20-$25.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

well I never had $$ problems regarding games so I never had an upper limit... I just get all the games I want on the system.

Up until the PS2, I had only one game that I barely played (fifa 94 snes), since then, I started buying way too many games.

I have a backlog for last gen, and for this gen well I have 8 of unopened Wii games and about 4 360 ones... just don't have enough time. (oh and steam backlog... hahaha)

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

No, and I'm nowhere near it.

Above: still the best game of the year.

I hardly ever play my Wii. In fact the only game I will ever probably play on it again is Zelda.

I still rock my 360 and love it.

I kinda feel the same way about my Wii right now.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

This gen hasn't really started for me. All the good games I'm waiting for are realeasing next year or 2012.

Take a look at my photos on flickr

If anything my buying has just begun. Next year will probably be my biggest spending year in a looooong time.

PS3 will get a shit ton game purchases.

360 will get quite a few games I missed as well as a few new ones

PSP gets a few

DS gets a few

Wii gets none unless Nintendo shows me The Last Story or Xenoblade.

My 360 is pretty much done for.  I purchased Mass Effect 2 about six months ago and still haven't touched.  STar Ocean was bought sometime last year and it's still in the wrapper.  I did play and finish Bayonetta, FFXIII, and Bioshock 2 this year.  The only two XB360 games I'll be buying are Bioshock Infinite and Gears 3.  Nothing else interests me.

My Wii gets the most love, but I have so many unplayed/unfinished games that I'm going cold turkey on purchasing any new Wii titles.  DKC Returns and EPic Mickey will have to wait.

I do purchase a lot of DS games because of all my frequent traveling.  I just make sure I get all my games cheap.  No point paying full price for a game to sit on my shelf 6-12 months.

Next gen I'll be going back to just a NIntendo system and a Nintendo handheld.

360 Games Now Playing   360 Games unopened:  Resonance of Fate  Last 360 Game I Beat: Resident Evil 5

DS Games Now Playing: Dragon Quest VI  DS Games unopened Knights in the Nightmare, Etrian Odyssey III, Okamiden, Dragon Quest IX Last DS Game I beat: Radiant Historia

Wii Games Now Playing  Super Mario Galaxy 2, Arc Rise Fantasia  Wii  Games unopened  Little King's Story, Sonic Colors, Silent Hill Shattered Memories Last Wii Game I beat: Sin & Punishment 2

My Wii has shattered any so called limit I've had any other generation.  Then again, I didn't have the disposable income back then.  If I get ~15 more games for Wii,DS and 360, I'd call it a gen.
