I still expect DS to cnarrow the gap later this year and PS2 is at like 150M and DS 144.3M, then the gap will carry on to narrow.

Although we're going a bit offtopic here, the question is how long will Nintendo keep producing the DS? You have to remember, 3DS launches in a few months.

OT:

Kinect Adventures week 1 Americas: 550,021

Kinect Adventures week 2 Americas: 250,553

That's over a 50% drop. Something is telling me MIcrosoft won't be making their target of 5 million by the end of the year...

Kinect sales will just increase from here. You have the initial big launch then take some time to restock in time for the huge boost that starts next week (reported on VGC in 2 weeks).

Sensor only packs have been severely supply constrained.  Bundles have better availabiity.

Geez @ NSMBW... will that game ever stop selling? XD

Nearly 17 million sold worldwide in less than a year, sold 272,000 this week, yet some people still have the audacity to claim that it did little or nothing to boost Wii sales in 2009, leading to record numbers in the US for December.

Black Friday is going to be a major fight between all the big 3. Sony has Move and Gran Turismo 5. Nintendo has it's red Wii and holiday bundles. Microsoft has Kinect and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

But to be honest if Sony was able to maintain the line-up they had setup around E3 for this holiday. It would even be a competition. DC Universe Online, Final Fantasy XIV Online, LittleBigPlanet 2, Socom 4 and Gran Turismo 5 was going to crush Microsoft and Nintendo. Of course 4 of those 5 were delayed to next year.

I think (or hope) everybody knows the strength of a 2D Classic Mario game by now.
