Forums - Sony - Kingdom Under Fire II Confirmed for PlayStation 3

BLUESIDE has announced today that their Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) Action Strategy RPG title, Kingdom Under Fire II, will be released on the PlayStation 3 along with its PC online counterpart. The news was announced collaboratively by BLUESIDE and Sony Computer Entertainment Korea today at the opening day (November 18th) of G-Star, which is one of the biggest online game trade shows in the world.

Kingdom Under Fire II is the fifth instalment of the Kingdom Under Fire franchise, whose legacy spans more than a decade, and is currently being developed by BLUESIDE. 

Kingdom Under Fire II will be released for the PlayStation 3 in 2012,

Correct me if I'm wrong but this has always been a PC/xbox exclusive right? Someone actually mentioned that the xbox version might be in trouble because they had some issues with xbl, not sure tho

I believe it was originally for PC/360 but it always said "for next gen platforms" on the developers website. So I think they were always considering going multiplatform.

I think it was either Selnor or Slimebeast that was following this game, so perhaps someone can ask one of them. The original was for the xbox I believe?

Also, releasing in 2012? i thought they had a late 2010 release date penned.

I had no idea Kingdom Underfire 2 was a MMO....? Pass then, I ain't paying monthly fees.

Edit: Looks like it will still have a single player component. Still a big loss for MS, though the 2012 date really bothers me.

Yeah but my interest for this game went down after this announcement.
