So my question is... if they are giving up on Wii speak when are we getting the Wii headset or Wii earphone? Next generation? Why can they do as Microsoft or Sony?

Um, the Wii headset is already out and in stores. It's been that way since late October for some.

The plan originally was that the system friend code would be your universal friend code for all games played online on the Wii but they changed it before launch so every online game would have it's own friend code.

The PDP headset is licensed by Nintendo, so that's the best you're going to get. It's a second party peripheral.

What is it then? Are we going to have to wait till the next generation to have a Nintendo First Party headset? Is it a matter of pride not doing it now? Somebody please explain!
