GT fans are loving it, so I would go with an "absolutely". In fact, the reviews have been just fine (IO know people think 8 & 8.5 is now suddenly bad, but it isn't).

A game as talked about as GT5 is has obviously done more good than bad.

I hope so, personally I'll be getting it NEXT YEAR, so I can't put it in the list..

Also, you're exactly right. "Oh Noes a great game we were looking forward to *only* got 8.5! It;s rubbish! I'm never gonna buy it!"

It's getting ridiculous, look at Epic Mickey, for example...

Agreed, but you know some people will be negative no matter what the circumstance. Thankfully, GT5 and Mickey will both likely do what they set out to do, which makes all else trivial.

Hmm...well, I've yet to play either, but the feedback is certainly seeming that way!

 

So...will you be adding it to your list? Or do you not have it yet?

I have it, but I have several other games ahead of it at the moment, because I haven't done a lot of what's to do yet. I can easily call it my top racer of the year though.

Not really much great to go up against though, apart from maybe Sonic Racing and F1 2010...

    Hmmm....I don't know yet. I really enjoyed a good amount of racers this gen, such as Burnout Revenge, Ridge Racer 7, Split/Second, and PURE. Racing sim of the gen, however, I'm inclined to easily call it, as I got the most enjoyment from it in that regard thus far.

    DAMN! This gen has gone on for so long I can't remember those games!

    Can say my list after playing GT5 now!

    3. Mass Effect 2

    4. Heavy Rain

    5. Red dead redemption

    There will be a GT6 but I fear no more Kratos. Therefore, I give him rank 1. But GT5 is a hell of a fun game for me! Considering Ive only played Prolouge before, the GT series are new to me and Ive only heard stuff. Its spectacular!
