Here is mine for the year:

1. Super Mario Galaxy 2

2. Kirby's Epic Yarn

3. Goldeneye 007

4. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (provisional)

5. Donkey Kong Country Returns (provisional)

 

I was primarily a Wii only gamer this year, I played a little bit of Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock 2, and Mass Effect 2, all were good but not really my prefered genres. I would like to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (Which I'm sure I will like based on other games in the series) and Fable 3. I also am looking forward to playing Donkey Kong Cuuntry Returns and Dinsey Epic Mickey. I  enjoyed Monster Hunter Tri and Metroid Other M as well, so I have about 6 games competing for the last 2 spots by the end of the year.

I'm in a similar position to this, however, for me Tri is on top!

i played prologue this year and if it released this year it would have been my goty. so unless gt5 isnt better then prologue then its not going to be my goty.

Prologue was released A LOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME ago, we just don't know anymore...

Though, yeah, you're probably right...

OK, I'll accept, it's gonna be an awesome game. People wil enjoy it, and it'll no doubt be on top of many peoples lists! Provided of course that it's released, but after al the anouncements, I find it hard to believe it won't be released in a weeks time!

OK, AT LAST GT5 is released! Will people put it on their list? Or is it all talk no trousers?

Anyway, I need to ad AC:B to my list! Maybe Epic Mickey, and DKCR, and Goldeneye...

Hmm...

GT fans are loving it, so I would go with an "absolutely". In fact, the reviews have been just fine (IO know people think 8 & 8.5 is now suddenly bad, but it isn't).

A game as talked about as GT5 is has obviously done more good than bad.

I hope so, personally I'll be getting it NEXT YEAR, so I can't put it in the list..

Also, you're exactly right. "Oh Noes a great game we were looking forward to *only* got 8.5! It;s rubbish! I'm never gonna buy it!"

It's getting ridiculous, look at Epic Mickey, for example...

Agreed, but you know some people will be negative no matter what the circumstance. Thankfully, GT5 and Mickey will both likely do what they set out to do, which makes all else trivial.

Hmm...well, I've yet to play either, but the feedback is certainly seeming that way!

 

So...will you be adding it to your list? Or do you not have it yet?
