GoW3 and Bayonetta shouldn't even be compared, even though they're in the same genre they focus on completely different things, it's like comparing Xenogears to Pokemon.
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
What don't you like about the character?
Bayonetta is totally hot... for a game character.

i just didn't like playing as a bitchy(with attitude haha) character i guess.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is pretty amazing...not like the old ones, but an amazing game in its own right.......After it, I think I might actually put God of War: Ghost of Sparta for PSP...and I still very much wish that Ps3 could play PSP games upscaled with the regular controller, lol, love the game, just can't play very long before using the little nub hurts my thumb to use.
Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...
Bayonetta is good, but it's not that good. Or rather it's great, but Devil May Cry 3 is still the best of the genre. It has the deepest combo system out there and the boss fights, all of them, are amazing. Best boss fights I've ever had the pleasure of fighting (Even better than MGS 3's). Though I personally put Bayonetta's combat and enemy strategy under Devil May Cry 4; Bayonetta's air juggling system's a bit broken (broken in a bad way) and the greater enemies have no strategy, it's just brute force attack until they stop dashing so you can hit them. Like, Witch Time adds a bit of depth, but strip that down and you're left with enemies that are too weak or too annoying. Though the overall game, level design, etc are better than Devil May Cry 4, the core mechanics arn't. Still Bayonetta is a fantastic game.
I guess we're making lists?
1. Devil May Cry 3
2. Devil May Cry
3. God of War 2
4. God of War 3
5. The rest

I actually just bought Bayonetta today! (you can see the "B" in my gamertag) I've been playing it quite a bit and I've really enjoyed the game so far. I actually enjoy her character and I think she's pretty badass. I was debating Bayonetta vs. GOW3 and I must say I'm happy with my decision. Maybe I'll get GOW3 when it goes budget price.
I must say that I do like the reversible cover that came with the game. I got the "Platinum Collection" version (aka best hits) and that cover isn't that good, but the reverse side looks really nice!

If we are talking best Hack&Slash of all time then Bayonetta is up there but long way from the top spot ifwe are talking tnhis Gen Hack&Slash on PS3/Xbox 360 then it would be high on the list.

Bayonetta is amazing, and it's the best most innovative title to happen to Hack n Slash since Devil May Cry.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
