I actually think the Heat's losing cannot be pin pointed on just one player. But the team as a whole. Lebron has played pretty well while in a Heat uniform. I like his current role of being a playmaker for the team. His court vision and passing ability is up their with the best. But to me it seems like he waits until the shot clock winds down to 5 - 6 seconds before making a move. He also needs to improve on his post game. He is 6'8 and 260 lbs. His post game needs to be effective ! Wade, for the most part, has played well with his new teammates ( Other then last night and the two games at Boston ). He is an explosive scorer. One of the best in the league. But I think that is hurting the Heat. Their are times when Wade just absolutely hogs. It's like the iso and attack offence Mike Brown installed in Cleveland without giving up the ball. I think Wade will be better off as a catch and shoot guy. His jumper is much more consistent then Lebron's. Both these guys need to set picks for each other. And at times, a little two man game. Bosh, the third option, has played alright throughout the season ( Other then this last week ). He is a great spot up shooter. His problem is not utilizing his size. He should post up more. Yes, he isn't the strongest guy but he is by far their best big man. And this is one part of the Heat offence that is lacking. It might not be his strongest suit, but it's better then nothing. He also needs to be more active when it comes to rebounding. Their's no excuse as to why his rebounding numbers dropped from last year. And Erik Spoelstra. He's a good defensive coach. But he needs more set plays. The Heat have no chance at a championship if the iso and penetrate play is their only play. He also needs to be more assertive instead of letting the Heat blow games. I feel like he's letting them have what they want. Try to get a compromise or something.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

Wow, Clippers beat Hornets, who would've betted on that...

Pretty good last minutes too. Griffin is a beast....but he's really a horrible FT shooter. A new Shaq in the making

Shaq? Naw, he's more like Shawn Kemp and Amare Stoudemaire than Shaq unless you're talking about the FT shooting. He'll learn how to shoot because his mechanics aren't bad but all his muscle gets in the way haha. Griffin and Gordon are the Clips future and they're finally looking like they're building towards something.

Nothing to say sorry for its pretty much true lol i mean spolstra needs to figure something out when they are both on the floor and wade being a spot-up shooter while lebron drives in and atrracts the defense and being a facilitator is a great idea. Also yes Bosh has a good outside shot for a big man almost like stoudemire except he lacks his explosiveness to the basket.

Well Dampier is in... and Haslem may be out for the season....

Wade as a spot up shooter feels like a waste to me.

no lie this heat team looks exactly like hem old cavs teams...give lebron the ball and everyone just stands around watching him play . nothing but a bunch of 1 on 1 no set plays these guys are definitely not playing team ball pat the don bout stan vangundy spoelstra real soon if shit dont turn around asap...then again i doubt even pat could make chris bosh not play like a wuss

The Cavs played better. They had a balanced team.

It's true.

I mean, the old cavs teams didn't play like that.

They did, but only in the middle to late 4th quarter usually.

I STILL wouldn't count the heat out though... I mean when either Lebron or Wade are off the court, they are a better team, and basically you are going to have a team where one of them are NEVER off the court.

That can be deadly if they figure out the right way to play.

They need to find a way to make their own "Triangle" offense.

Perhaps even by inverting the Triangle.

Have Wade and Lebron on either side and focus on passing back out to either one who could drive back in.

Either that or having Lebron completely reinvent his game... cause Wade really can't do it.

Keep in mind the heat are still doing good, they're still like 8-5 or something and they've basically got an entirely new team.  By the all star break we may be singing a different tune.

I personally think that they're playing horrible defense. They tend to double, triple or quadruple team everyone that comes into the paint. This leads to either an open jumper or a three point play. Stats my say otherwise, but I assure you that they're playing some awful defense. Take for example:Pacers winning that game by shooting 3s. Boston won their game at Miami by shooting the 3 ball well.

In my opinion LeBron needs to step down. Wade is the go to guy in this team, and LeBron needs to realize this.  If LeBron left the passing to Wade, he would play the same way he did in Cleveland. Take for example the 08 Celtics. They had three go to guys. They came to an agreement that Pierce hold the ball at the end because he represents the franchise. And I think the Heat should follow the Boston suit.

And Arroyo is just miserable, but I think we all know this. He's the worst starting point guard in the league. I don't think I've ever seen a starting pg as bad as Arroyo.

It is a waste. Wade is better at driving it in than shooting.

Which is the root of the problem.  Both Wade and Lebron are best when driving... and only one person can drive.

Man, this time last year... my teeth started chattering whenever the Laker's bench players were on the floor. Now, with guys like Steve Blake, Shannon Brown (what a turn-around from last season already), and Matt Barnes on the perimeter... with Lamar penatrating... it's a solid bench if I ever saw one.

That sounds good in theory, but there are a few key differences.  The Big 3 in Boston all have very different strengths and are different players.  Ray Allen is primarily a spot up shooter or coming off a screen shooter.  Paul Pierce can penetrate, shoot and create his own shot in the clutch.  KG is a beast inside with a nice mid range jump shot and a good post game.   It works well because of this.  In Miami they just loaded two of the top 3 SG onto one team that are both better drivers than shooters and have similar games.  Also, Chris Bosh is no Kevin Garnett.  He's soft on defense and doesn't have the killer instinct that KG has.

I think one possible answer to their problems would be to, oh I don't know... maybe run an offense once in a while.  Wade and Lebron coming off screens or back picks for alley-oops could be brilliant.  Run an offense WITH your high pick and roll and I think it would free them up for more open looks.  Also, they are best when they push the ball.  They could establish an early offense to get into that would help with the stagnation that you see in many of their half court sets.  What do I know though.  I'm just a scrub.
