In my opinion LeBron needs to step down. Wade is the go to guy in this team, and LeBron needs to realize this. If LeBron left the passing to Wade, he would play the same way he did in Cleveland. Take for example the 08 Celtics. They had three go to guys. They came to an agreement that Pierce hold the ball at the end because he represents the franchise. And I think the Heat should follow the Boston suit.
That sounds good in theory, but there are a few key differences. The Big 3 in Boston all have very different strengths and are different players. Ray Allen is primarily a spot up shooter or coming off a screen shooter. Paul Pierce can penetrate, shoot and create his own shot in the clutch. KG is a beast inside with a nice mid range jump shot and a good post game. It works well because of this. In Miami they just loaded two of the top 3 SG onto one team that are both better drivers than shooters and have similar games. Also, Chris Bosh is no Kevin Garnett. He's soft on defense and doesn't have the killer instinct that KG has.
I think one possible answer to their problems would be to, oh I don't know... maybe run an offense once in a while. Wade and Lebron coming off screens or back picks for alley-oops could be brilliant. Run an offense WITH your high pick and roll and I think it would free them up for more open looks. Also, they are best when they push the ball. They could establish an early offense to get into that would help with the stagnation that you see in many of their half court sets. What do I know though. I'm just a scrub.
