Forums - Sales - Call of Duty series sales in Poland

Today Polish distributor of Activision shared some numbers on CoD sales

In 2010 sales of series passed 500k and including all parts and budget reeditions are at 632k.

In those: MW2- 130k, WaW- 77,5k , MW- 160k  (all platforms)

One year ago they posted :

almost 400k total sales

>120k - Cod 1 with addon

>120k - MW1

60k WaW

Cod 2 > 70k

Cod 3- 13k ( no pc version :D )

First day MW2 sales were: 23000 pc version, 3800 ps3, 2500 x360

My comment:

First: If you look at version split of mw2 and cod 3 numbers it's pretty clear that pc gaming is far from being dead despite what might be shown in npd or on vgc.

Second : unlike world trends we have MW1>MW2>Waw

Third: MW1 legs are pretty amazing

well since unlike North America and Western Europe, the pc is the gaming console of choice, mw1 sales being higher then mw2 isn't that crazy at all. MW2 was very jipped for the pc compared to mw1 losing dedicated servers, console commands, kicking options, and max 18player multiplayer vs 64 in cod 4

I'm quite interested in console sales, especially overall ones. AFAIK x360 was very popular in first years, last 12 months are for SONY though. Software sales are what I expected as here piracy on consoles in huge. That is also a reason why many people bought x360.

And of course Wii does not exist in Poland. So bad Nintendo does no promotion.
