Kirby's Epic Yarn was reviewed in this month's issue too, and also got a 9.5, so it was really a 3 way tie. So like Salnax said it must have been the second opinion that helped DCKR.

This one again proves that Game Informer hates motion controls more than they actually hate the Wii.  Give them a NES pad instead of motion controls and they're happy.

Some of the features the game is doing is really amazing!
