Forums - PC - Whats the best startup Desktop for gaming?

i've wanted to replace my very old desktop with a new one for quite awhile, i know i can just upgrade my old one and all, but i want to replace it since its ancient, and i want to get one for my birthday thats in 12 days (yes i am going to buy myself a present,i'm so sad) , so i'd like to ask which one is the best desktop , i only want a desktop not a full set (monitor, keyboard ...ect).

You currently live in Kuwait? What's your price range? What retailers are you looking to buy from? What games do you want to play (if any)?

People aren't mind readers ; you need to give relevant information if you want a good response.

You said "startup desktop" in the thread title, but then you say "best desktop" in the post.

Lol, well thats my own "Startup" desktop.

i mean't the best desktop for gaming, i don't really care if its expensive, just don't have to be expensive for nothing (like brand and design)

From a pre-built perspective this is the best I could find in terms of value for money, its $800. It comes with a very sturdy processor and the graphics card is more than decent.

Given the 700W PSU you could upgrade the GPU next year when the new parts come out in quarter 4 2011 if you felt that you needed it.

Also no shame in buying yourself a gift. I do it all the time for my birthday.

Tease.

that also matters where you live? I am candian so this is the best deal I know of in Canada:

1 tb hard drive, i7, 6gb ram, 5450 1gb video card $800 after coupon code: D659H?M1K4HFFC. I don't know when it expires and guessing there probobly will be a simmiller deal on the us dell. Just what i thought to be a good deal for the price.
