kantor. Lynching lurkers is a long established rule. It isn't because it's just some arbitrary rule to be followed, it's because it strongly points to mafia. Town are very very rarely lurkers. However, if town happens to be on the wrong path, it's smart for mafia to lurk, because they stay out of the way of a mislynch revenge party, and because without contribution, town may continue on a mistaken path.
