Not sure how long day one usually lasts here, but you sure seem anxious to get to night one. Coupled with:

which I could take as genuinely looking for a target to rally against instead of merely to get/read a reaction, I might say you're quite eager to see some killing.

we have nothing to go by on day 1.

sure we can lynch someone,  but we will most likely hit a pro-town.

Day 1 lynching is usual benefit the mafia.

I was going to say "Consider the necessity and likely consequences of attempting to halt lynches on the first day in order to honor diametric opposition to day one lynches"

Day One, and my head already hurts: how about we reserve the philosophical discussions re: value of lying until, say, we actually catch someone lying, and are trying to figure out which story is the lie?

What I was going to say:

I agree that day one lynching has a high chance at hitting town, thus benefitting mafia. There are some set-ups which nearly require a day one lynch even should it turn mislynch, but I care not to speculate on that in a game of this size especially without knowing the number of night kills we'll be facing.

I do think that there's still some information that can be gleaned at this point. Three[now two] people have yet to make a single post, though unless someone slips up at this point I think I'll merely have suspicions to check on in the following phases rather than evidence to make someone a lynch candidate. And so:

I'm with prof on this one...obviously stupid lies that hurt the town are obviously bad. But lying about certain things can help - I lied about being revived as a bomb in the last game to try and save myself...not sure if that worked or not, but its better than bending over to die.

I'm not liking what I'm seeing in certain players though....and it seems that you people don't want a day one lynch.
