Even if the Japanese gaming industry was just Nintendo, they would still kick the arse of the West a lot of the time.
Outside of Nintendo and Level-5, Japan isn't quite as rosy
Inafune is blaming his recent mediocre games on others in the japanese industry , he keep on making these mediocre western-wannabe games while other great developers keep on being great.

The Japanese Industry is fine. Yea there struggleing with a identity crisis, and a stagment in game desigh but thats nowhere near the dangers that western world brings to the industry.

just the genral lack of creativity, imagination, and originality. The day western developers rule the industry is the day the true crash will happen... thay just dont have talent to maintain it by themselves

Yet EA/THQ are making losses but S-E, Konami, Nintendo are making profits and high revenue's.
Konami made more profit than Activision-Blizzard last quarter......that is hilarious!!

Seriously, considering 4 games out of my top 5 this gen are Japanese-developed (with the Western game being my fifth favorite), I just don't understand these comments about how Japan is lacking compared to the West in innovation, especially from Inafune.
