An uncle of mine died and they called me to sort his eletronic things to see what I could use and what was garbage, and there was this box there my aunt thought was a weird table. Turns out it was a NeXT Computer from 1988.

For those who don't know it's the thing where the first web server and browser were created at CERN. It's also the thing where Doom and Wolvenstein 3D were developed. This weird table was released at 6,500 US$ (inflation would put it at about 12 grand today)

I'll be bringing it home tomorow and I hope it works. It also happens to be my birthday so it's kind of a neat gift. The computer is from the same year I was born too.

Anyway, just thought someone might find it cool :P

I'm going to try to get it running tonight, will try and take pictures. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to actually get anything for it (like wasteland) unless it's internet-able. But I'll think about that after I get it running. I'm afraid I might have problems with the video output with it's weird resolution and all that, but we'll see.

And i'm not selling it, at least not in a hurry. It's not like it'll go down in price with time :P

Download it to the PC by using a 5.25 floppy disk

Castle of the Winds is a must if it can run on that type of computer.
